Hello Class of 2027!

Welcome to AAIV! We are so excited to get to meet you! AAIV is a Christian registered student organization (RSO) that is committed to following Jesus and spreading God’s love at UChicago. Come out to our events this Fall quarter to learn more about our community and who we are!

To stay up-to-date on our events throughout the year, please like our Facebook, follow us on Instagram, join our Blueprint, bookmark our Campsite, or subscribe to our weekly emails.

Our Vision Statement

UChicago AAIV is a community where students come as they are to explore, follow, and love like Jesus in light of Asian/Asian-American experiences.

Events

UChicago AAIV hosts a wide variety of events to engage our fellowship and our campus throughout the year. For Orientation Week and the first couple weeks of Fall Quarter, check out some of our upcoming events here! To learn more about our weekly programming, check out our events below!

Large Groups

Every Friday night at 7 PM, the entire fellowship gathers to worship, fellowship, and wrestle with issues of faith, culture, and what it means to seek faith in the university environment...and just hang out! We invite speakers to address faith topics or engage in group discussions about relevant issues. Our hope is that you will feel welcome as we seek to show the love of Jesus to one another, our campus, and our community. For more information, contact our Large Group Coordinator, Jeremy Lu.

Small Groups

Once a week, small groups meet to have fellowship and read a passage from scripture. Whether you’ve been Christian your whole life or are just beginning to explore Christianity, small groups are a place everyone can learn more about the transformative teachings of Jesus. To get plugged into a Small Group, contact our Small Group Coordinators, Kenny Huang and Daniel Oh.

Discipleship

A big part of spiritual growth is having mentors who not only speak truth into our lives but also help us translate our faith into meaningful action. Throughout the year, we will be matching upper-classmen with under-classmen to meet up, as well as to go forth and serve the fellowship, the campus, and the community in various ways. For more information, contact one of our Discipleship team members, Sammy Lin.

Worship

We believe that musical worship serves as an essential and versatile form of connecting with God as well as a means of witnessing to others.
If you'd like to be involved with our Worship Team, contact Esther Kim.
